Our Kombucha
Kombucha originated in the region between China and Russia (historically referred to as Manchuria) around 2000 years ago and was initially prized for its healing properties. In essence, a fermented tea, it possesses all the health benefits of fermented foods that the modern world has been discovering in recent years.
Driven by our ethos of integrity and taste, we decided to look for the highest quality teas we could find, sourced in a way that respects both the tea growers and their land.
The winning combination was two white silver needle teas, Ying Zhen and Snow Bud, the green Huang Shan Ya jasmine tea leaf and Sencha.

Imperial Plucking
Imperial tea plucking takes place in China in May. Only the bud with one immediate young leaf is plucked by the most skilled pickers. It is a very exceptional occurrence, only taking place in those rare villages said to produce the most famous teas that historically would have been reserved for the emperor.
